Zen Brush Workshops
The Zen Brush Workshops are a fun, creative and inspiring way to free yourself from a dominating Inner Critic and liberate your True Inner Artist.
You don't need to be an artist to benefit. Writers, teachers, business owners, and anyone who needs more creativity in their jobs and lives will find what they need here.
These workshops are NOT about learning to paint like me. That would just trade one prison for another. They are about the FREEDOM to paint like YOU. And the freedom to be creative in all areas of your life.
An unhindered mind is a creative miracle. We focus on mind techniques more than painting techniques. You will create your own unique painting techniques. We use guided meditations and breathing techniques to calm and free our minds. We use yoga and Chi Kung techniques to free our bodies and focus our energy. We use our Buddha Boards to free us from attachment to our work. We learn how to release our minds from self-judgment, from our past, from our social and educational conditioning. Then we are ready to paint, fresh and alive in the moment. What emerges from our brush is nothing less than a miracle. This is Zen.
We may create beautiful and unique paintings in the workshop. Most of us do. But the real point of the workshop is not the paintings we produce. It is the freedom to be creative in all aspects of our lives. It is not the art of painting that we learn. It is the art of living.
The cost to attend a workshop is $65 per person. You will also need to buy your own Buddha Board, a brush, ink and rice paper.
